Captain America was created in 1941 during The Second World War, his attire is made to look like an American flag. This hero sports an indestructible red white and blue shield that he can throw as a weapon. Captain America volume 5 #25 was supposed to be the issue where Steve Rogers died. He was shot by an assassin hidden in a building across the street. Although Rogers already discovered the hired gun before the actual shooting, he was being carried away in handcuffs at the time. This was to mark the end of Marvel?s mini series called ?Civil War?. Much like the hoopla that surrounded the supposed death of Superman, the death of Captain America caused a stir in the comic book world. Although just like Clark Kent, Captain America was later discovered to be among the living.Because of this discovery, the value of any merchandise affiliated to his death dropped sharply.

The long lived franchise is now releasing a new movie titled ?Captain America: The First Avenger?. The movie covers the story from the start when Rogers signs up for the army experiment to become a super soldier. Captain America wages war on the evil HYDRA organization, led by the wicked Red Skull.
