Jason Brown To Face Mexico

Aberdeen?s Jason Brown is braced to end a five-year Wales exile against Mexico tomorrow.

The fourth-choice goalkeeper will start for Chris Coleman?s men in New York following injuries to Wayne Hennessey and Boaz Myhill while Lewis Price pulled out of the squad for personal reasons. Pittodrie stopper Brown, 30, has not played for his country since a 4-0 friendly win over Liechtenstein in November 2006.

But an impressive display at the MetLife Stadium tomorrow could see twice-capped Brown stake a claim for the No 1 shirt against Belgium in Wales? opening 2014 World Cup qualifying clash with Belgium in September.

Wales manager Chris Coleman said: ?Jason hasn?t had much international time of late, but he?s in good nick and it?s an opportunity for him to show people he?s a good goalkeeper.

?This is a chance for Jason to fight for that shirt against Belgium.?
